Not Sure About God? Ask Him.

(Plain Text Version)

Our Investments

Every day, we make investments in our future.  The investments can be simple, like taking the dog out or setting an alarm clock.  They can very big, like marriage or career decisions.  We may not realize it, but there is a fundamental belief which can guide all our decisions.  This is our belief in God or our belief about God.

We all are faced with some uncertainty about what happens when our life on earth is over.  Whatever we have believed will be put to the test.  We don’t need to worry about this moment, if we have the right belief, and have lived by it.

This is Important.  Why Be in the Dark About it?

If you believe that there is no God, why not test your belief?  If you are not sure about God, why not find out?  If you do believe in God, why not enter into a deeper friendship with Him?

Here is My Proposal

I propose that you ask God for something good.  God knows what we want and what we need.  If we ask for something harmful, He may not give it to us.  Try asking God to solve a problem for you.  It may be healing of a medical issue for yourself or someone else.  It may a conflict which you haven’t been able to solve.  It may be trouble finding a suitable job.  Be bold and ask for something considered “impossible.”

Don’t Forget to Say “Please”

Use of the word “please” means that we are not demanding something.  We are leaving the choice to the giver.  If God exists, He will deserve our highest respect.

What Will God Do?

I don’t claim to know what will happen next.  God will answer your request in the way He chooses.  Something immediate and dramatic may happen.  You may find a gradual resolution to your concern.  An unexpected idea may pop into your mind.  You may have to wait for an answer.  God may give you something else which you didn’t ask for.

Afterwards, you make the next move!
