THE SIMPLE CATECHISM—FROM MSGR. STEDMAN’S MISSAL
I found this very simple presentation of our faith in a tiny book for soldiers to carry in their pockets. It starts at the beginning of everything:
I believe that there is one God Who created heaven and earth.
Everything we see has come from something else. Our bodies came from our parents. When the human race began, Earth was already in existence. Scientists tell us that Earth and everything else came from a “Big Bang” billions of years ago. In the future, we may have some idea of what “blew up” in the Big Bang.
The idea that there is a God does not come from our imagination. It is a fact which can be proven, and cannot be disproven.
Let’s find a quiet place, close our eyes and think about this question: “If everything came from something else, how did it all get started?”.
You have now started working on a question which will change your life!
THE PANDEMIC – A GOOD TIME FOR CHARITY
The Covid-19 pandemic has certainly brought hardship for most of us, even if we haven’t been infected. Although most of us have had some financial loss, we must never forget the poor. There are many reliable organizations which deserve our help.
